Vice President of Accounting - Hospitality Industry
Overview:
We are partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing hospitality organization in search of a Vice President of Accounting. This is a high-level leadership role where you will have the opportunity to shape the financial strategy of a diverse portfolio. As the VP of Accounting, you will oversee a talented team, drive financial operations, and play an integral role in supporting the organization's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of 3 direct reports-2 Accounting Managers and 1 AP Manager-providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements and reporting packages, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to senior leadership.
- Payroll Oversight: Review and approve payroll reports for the hospitality side of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with senior management on audit-related projects and provide strategic support during audits.
- Growth Strategy: Support the integration of new business ventures, with exciting developments slated for 2025.
Qualifications:
- Hospitality Expertise: Proven experience in accounting within the hospitality industry is a must.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA: Not mandatory but highly valued.
- ERP Systems: Experience with Sage or similar ERP systems is strongly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: A track record of successful team leadership and the ability to manage a growing department.
- Strong Communicator: Ability to interact with senior leadership and other departments, providing financial insights and strategic recommendations.
